Good Nights

Last week, the night light that Dan had researched and bought online arrived at our house. He found it on the GoodNiteLite website. Since we moved the boys downstairs to their new room and big beds a few weeks ago, they have had a hard time with sleeping until 6:30 or 7am, like they did when they were still upstairs in cribs. The night light that Dan found can be programmed to look like a moon throughout the night and show the image of a sun when it's time to start the day. We set it to be a moon between the hours of 7pm, when they go to bed, and 7am, when we'd like them to sleep until. We have had this night light for five nights now and the boys are doing GREAT! The past few mornings, all has been quiet until 7am when we hear excited shouts of, "Sun out! Wake-up time! Mommy! Daddy! Wake-up time!" If they are seeing the moon change to a sun, they are obviously awake already, but at least they have stayed quiet until they saw the sun since they know that's when they could get out of bed. I am so glad Dan found this night light and I hope it continues to work well for us!

This sounds like a great invention! Good job, Dan, for finding it!

Wish I'd known about that a few years ago! Too cool!

Very cool! And you're right, you can't control when they wake up, but good for them for staying quiet!
